Acceptable Use Policy — KingsHost.net

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") describes activities and content that are not permitted on KingsHost ("KingsHost," "we," "us," or "our") infrastructure or in connection with our Services. The AUP is incorporated into and forms part of our Terms of Service. Violation of this AUP may result in suspension or termination of your account, with or without notice and without refund, and may be reported to law-enforcement authorities where appropriate.

1. Prohibited Content

You may not upload, store, transmit, distribute, or link to any of the following on or through our Services:

• Content that is illegal under applicable law in the jurisdictions in which our infrastructure operates or where the content is consumed.
• Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) in any form. We have a zero-tolerance policy. Suspected CSAM is reported immediately to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the appropriate authorities.
• Content that depicts, promotes, or facilitates the sexual exploitation, abuse, or trafficking of any person.
• Malware, ransomware, viruses, worms, trojans, exploit kits, command-and-control infrastructure, or any other malicious software or hosting thereof.
• Phishing pages, fraudulent identity-impersonation pages, or any infrastructure used to deceive users into disclosing credentials, payment information, or personal data.
• Content that infringes third-party copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, or other intellectual property rights, including pirated software, films, music, books, or stream-ripping services. Repeat infringers will be terminated under our DMCA Policy.
• Content that defames, harasses, threatens, or stalks any person or group, or that incites violence or discrimination against a protected class.
• Content that promotes or facilitates terrorism, violent extremism, or organized criminal activity.
• Unauthorized cryptocurrency mining on shared, reseller, or low-tier VPS infrastructure (resource limits make this both impractical and disruptive). Mining-related websites and wallets are permitted; running miners on the infrastructure itself is not.
• Content that violates the privacy or publicity rights of any person, including non-consensual intimate imagery and unauthorized publication of personal data ("doxxing").

2. Prohibited Activities

You may not use the Services to engage in:

• Unsolicited bulk email (spam), including emails that violate the CAN-SPAM Act, GDPR, CASL, or any equivalent legislation. Mailing lists must be opt-in and use compliant unsubscribe handling.
• Network abuse — port scanning, vulnerability scanning, denial-of-service attacks, or any unauthorized probing of third-party systems.
• Unauthorized access to any system, network, account, or data, whether owned by KingsHost, another customer, or a third party.
• Resource abuse — sustained excessive use of CPU, RAM, I/O, inodes, or process counts on shared or reseller hosting that degrades the experience of other customers. Plans designed for shared use are not intended to host applications that consume disproportionate resources.
• Operating an open mail relay, open proxy, open recursive DNS resolver, IRC bouncer, or anonymous file-sharing service.
• Fraud — including the use of stolen payment credentials, identity fraud, or any deceptive practice in interactions with KingsHost or third parties.
• Circumventing access controls, rate limits, or fair-use mechanisms within the Services.
• Reselling or redistributing Services in a manner that violates these policies, including sub-licensing accounts to violators after notice.

3. Email Sending Limits

Shared and reseller hosting includes email-sending capacity intended for transactional and small-list use. Fair-use limits apply (typically a few hundred outbound messages per hour). Customers with substantial mailing requirements should use a dedicated transactional email service. Triggering our anti-spam systems repeatedly may result in throttling or suspension of email functionality.

4. Resource & Backup Use

Shared and reseller backup features are provided as a courtesy and are not intended for general off-site backup of unrelated systems. The use of hosting accounts as bulk file-storage, file-sharing, or content-distribution endpoints unrelated to a hosted website is not permitted.

5. Reporting Abuse

To report suspected abuse, copyright infringement, phishing, malware, or any other AUP violation involving content hosted on our infrastructure, contact support@kingshost.net. For copyright-specific notices, please follow the procedure in our DMCA Policy. Include URLs, timestamps, and any supporting evidence so our abuse team can act quickly.

6. Enforcement

We investigate reported violations and routinely monitor our infrastructure for indicators of abuse. Depending on severity, our response may include:

• Notice and a request to remediate within a stated timeframe;
• Temporary suspension of the affected service;
• Permanent termination of the account, with or without refund;
• Cooperation with law-enforcement authorities, including preservation and disclosure of records as legally required.

For severe violations — including CSAM, active malware distribution, ongoing phishing campaigns, or imminent threats to the security of our infrastructure or third parties — we will suspend immediately and without prior notice.

7. Modifications

We may update this AUP from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via email and posted on kingshost.net.
